Do Not Try To Force Peace.
Do not try to force peace.
That is impossible.
Instead
Only try to realize the truth:
Peace is already here.
here. now. local. like sooooo local... where is it in your body, that absence of drama? that's where you realize it. you spend more and more time there. and the world begins reflecting it.
every time you don't take the bait, you vote for these places of peace.
you turn off the TV.
you wait to text back.
you decide real love is worth waiting for.
then... you start noticing pleasure. not saccharine, not expensive, not hard-won. you feel a homecoming, a reemergence of pleasure that's intrinsic, somehow deeply personal and universal at the same time.
you don't go shouting about it.
or maybe you do.
but either way, you've seen something inside you that you'd forgotten.
this easy feeling that's a mirror to the future you've wanted for so long.
maybe it's personal. maybe it's planetary. it's likely both. and it's okay to doubt it. that's part of the process. that's when community comes in.
you ask them, "real or not real?"
they say, "real."
the people who worry fall away.
the people who are on fire for a compassionate and just world arrive.
you ask them, "real or not real?"
you ask them, "dare I believe?"
thru say, "clearly you already do."
And we do, too.
